General Architectural Description <br />The Wildwood Music Building is a one-story L-shaped <br />commercial building located at the northeast corner of Main <br />and Spruce Streets in downtown Louisville. The building <br />presently houses three businesses: Wildwood Music at 804 <br />Main Street, Exquisite Enterprises Inc. at 800 Main Street, <br />and Beebo's Used Books at 925 Spruce Street. The building <br />is of brick and concrete block construction, and its primary <br />elevations (fronting onto Main and Spruce Streets) have been <br />cladded with vertical particle board siding. The building's <br />rear (east) elevation is partially covered with particle board <br />siding, with exposed concrete block on the remainder of the <br />elevation. The building is covered by a flat roof. Parapet <br />walls extending above the roof line on the west and south <br />elevations, are cladded with square -cut wood shingles. The <br />building's west elevation, which fronts to Main Street, has <br />two single -light and one 2-light fixed -pane storefront <br />windows, with wood frames. Two entry doors on this <br />elevation provide access to Wildwood Music and to <br />Exquisite Enterprises Inc. Two signs on the west elevation <br />advertise "Wildwood Music", and "Exquisite Enterprises <br />Inc. Awards, Plaques, Trophys, Engraving." A wood - <br />paneled door on the building's south elevation enters Beebo's <br />Used Books at 925 Spruce Street. Secondary entrances are <br />located at the east end of the south elevation, and on the <br />east (rear) elevation. <br />29.Construction History (include description and dates of major additions, <br />alterations, or demolitions: <br />Sanborn insurance maps provide evidence that the south end <br />of this building was constructed sometime before 1893, <br />while the north end was built between 1908 and 1916. <br />Boulder County Assessor records indicate that major <br />renovations of the building were carried out in 1952 and <br />1975. <br />23. Landscape or setting special features: <br />This building is located at the northeast <br />corner of Spruce and Main Streets, in the heart of <br />downtown Louisville. <br />24.
