Resource Number: 5BL8018 <br />Temporary Resource Number: NIA Architectural Inventory Form <br />(Page 2 of 5) <br />21. General Architectural Description <br />This property is comprised of a single building which <br />historically was a residence, but has been converted into a <br />real estate office. The building is supported by a low <br />concrete foundation, and has light beige stuccoed exterior <br />walls, over wood frame, or possibly brick, construction. An <br />intersecting gables roof is covered with non -historic red clay <br />tiles toward the front, and with asphalt shingles to the rear. <br />A stuccoed brick chimney is located on the exterior of the <br />north elevation. The building's windows, nearly all of which <br />have been altered from their historic appearance, include <br />lx1 horizontal sliders, 2/2 double -hung sashes, and six 28- <br />light glass block windows on the south elevation. A glass - <br />in -wood -frame door opens onto a non -historic wood porch <br />which covers the northern 2/3s of the facade, on the west <br />elevation. Stuccoed wood frame half -walls, and Doric <br />columns, support a low-pitched hipped porch roof, covered <br />with red clay tiles. A non -historic glass -in -wood -frame door, <br />opens onto a 3-step wood porch, with stuccoed wood frame <br />half walls, on the east elevation. A painted white wood - <br />paneled door, opens onto a small concrete porch, with a <br />black wrought iron railing, on the north elevation. <br />29.Construction History (include description and dates of major additions, <br />alterations, or demolitions: <br />Boulder County Assessor records list this building's date of <br />construction as 1900. Sanborn maps are unavailable for this <br />lot. A very large addition has been built onto the building's <br />east elevation, and the building has been extensively <br />renovated from its historic appearance. Boulder County <br />Assessor records indicate the addition and renovation work <br />was carried out in 1970. <br />23.
