Statement of Significance This house was historically significant, relative to National Register Criterion A, for its association with residential development in Louisville beginning in the late 1800s, and continuing through the first half of the twentieth century. The house was architecturally significant as well, under National Register Criterion C, as a representative wood frame front gabled dwelling. Due to a rather substantial loss of integrity, however, the property should be considered ineligible for individual listing in the National Register of Historic Places. It would also be a non- contributing property within a potential National Register historic district. 43. Assessment of historic physical integrity related to significance: This property exhibits below average integrity. Several windows have been altered, including one on the facade; the front porch is not historic, having replaced an earlier wooden porch; the exterior walls have been cladded with aluminum; and two additions were built onto the historic structure in 1959.
