PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

Mark DeWitt, 2270 South 88th Street, Louisville, Colorado, (home) 12470 West 84th Circle,
Arvada, Colorado, stated that he works at Storage Tech. He is a long distance runner who runs on
his lunch hour. He was concerned for the safety of runners and bicyclers using the bridge on South
88th Street that crosses over from the Storage Tech area to Rock Creek Parkway. He pointed out
that the development in Rock Creek caused increased traffic on the narrow bridge making it unsafe.
In addition, with the addition of the new school, there are many children on bikes crossing the bridge.
He asked if there was a plan to remedy the situation.

Mayer pointed that the bridge is on the DRCOG Transportation Improvement Plan for replacement
in the year 1999.

Davidson pointed out that the bridge is in Boulder County, not the City of Louisville. The City has
asked the County to place this on the state priority list, which they have done.

Barbara Melton, 605 West Lucerne, Lafayette, Colorado, represented a group of employees from
Storage Tech who are concerned about all of the traffic at 96th Street and Dillon Road. They wanted
a light put at the intersection.

Davidson explained that the City had just completed a traffic study of the intersection and it will be
discussed at a future Work Session.

Howard works at Storage Tech and offered to put the date of the Work Session on their E-Mail.

Gary Dunlap, 741 Lincoln, Louisville, Colorado, an employee of Storage Tech, agreed with Melton's
statement.

Davidson pointed out that along 96th Street the City has about an $8 - $9 million problem, which is
about 10 years worth of the City's budget on roads.

Don Pasco, representing Storage Tech, agreed with Melton's comments and wanted the process
accelerated.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS
NOT ON THE AGENDA

Davidson received a letter from Ann Martin complimenting two City employees, Jeff LeBeck and
Steve Hite, for helping her with her stalled car.

Sisk stated that the School Board will be making a decision on December 11 on the naming of the
new high school in Louisville. He resented false remarks made by ex-School Board member Don
Shonkwiler indicating that comments were made by Carol Lathrop, Gene Caranci, and himself saying

2
