Senior Advisory Board Meeting Minutes ~ 2116IO8 Page 4 ofi 4 vacation in order that the city would be reimbursed before the end of the year. Connie presented a request from the Singin' Seniors for materials for new vests. Members will be responsible for having the vests made for them. The amount needed was $540. Carol made a motion to pay for the vests and it was seconded by Linda Jackson. Bob Pierce called the question after a period of discussion. The motion passed. Walt for asked to prepare a budget for 2009 for the January meeting, A motion was made that we ask the ACC to select Barbara Wilson as an at-large-member so she can be our Board representative. The motion was made by Bob and seconded by Carol. The motion passed, B. Heat Relief Silent Auction. The Heat Relief Dinner on February 19 will require solicitation of items for the Silent Auction. Walt will contact Katie Pereira, Richard and Mary Klassen to see if they will oversee the Auction. Teams are encouraged to solicit prizes with new volunteers to show them the procedures. Larry Brassem said he might like to co-chair the solicitation activity because he has experience conducting similar activities. Claudine noted that posters for the event will be available on January 2 with contact information. We will need the list of places solicited last year. Member Comments: Rosalie said she was interested in the Housing Focus Group and helping with the Silent Auction when she is installed. Dave said he enjoyed the meeting. Larry Brassem noted he would have to learn some of the unfamiliar jargon.
