Avalon Pilot Project Update <br />14.42 Lafayette sketch plan was approved by City of Lafayette. About 70 community members <br />attended to speak and support the project. Planning commission also approved the Avalon Pilot <br />Project. These will be energy efficient units/townhomes. BCHA staff will be presenting the <br />final plan to the City Council of Lafayette on January 20, 2009. The units will be completed by <br />June 2009. BCHA currently has an RFP out for Modulaz builder services and will be contracting <br />with a builder in early 2009. <br />Proposed Meeting schedule for 2009 <br />The Commissioners suggested to staff to combine the November and December 2009 meetings <br />to December 8`", 2009. <br />Finance Report <br />Review of November 2008 financial statements-see board packet summary presented by Lisa <br />Bangs for the discussion items. <br />Property Mana¢ement/Maintenance Report <br />Rent and Occupancy Update <br />One unit at Regal Court is available, but a lease will be signed by the end of the week. There are <br />no lookaheads currently. <br />Monthly Rental Vacancy Report-See board packet <br />Section 8: HCV Proeram Report <br />Monthly statistics-See board packet <br />Resident Services Update <br />Addressing senior needs-will wait until January meeting <br />Frank stated that either the non-profit, Louisville Housing Corporation or the Boulder <br />Community Housing Corporation could be used for Senior needs. The current program is <br />delivered out of the Boulder Community Housing Corporation, so Frank will ask Lisa Bangs <br />about the finance and administration issues. It may make the most sense to increase the existing <br />program in the same corporation to reduce administrative and audit costs. Scott motioned that <br />the Boazd should take action to allocate some of its reserve funds to address senior crisis needs <br />and to direct staff to apply for matching funding from the City of Louisville. Scott motions to <br />designate $2,500 for senior crisis needs. Terri seconds. Motion passes unanimously. <br />Commissioners directed staff to apply for funding from the City of Louisville. Frank will work <br />with Kristin Durso, Senior Services Coordinator, and Lisa Bangs, Finance Manager, to establish <br />the program and submit the application. Frank will cc Heather and Sheri on the submitted <br />application. Heather will get the eversion of the application to Frank to complete and submit by <br />Friday. Terri and Doris will find additional funding sources to get to $10,000 for other <br />emergencies other than utilities. <br />
