Commissioner Gorsevski likes Option 1
Next step — slated for City Council November 27th for check in. City Manager
Balser said it is important to present more than one option.
Zuccaro reminded everyone there is a planning process that would have to be
adhered to. Policies encourage wrapping the garage with other uses. Waivers
can be requested. Public would not vote, but always good to get input.
Commissioner Dalton agrees with City Manager Balser: show the public the
evolution of our thinking.
Chair Fisher said the LRC should put forward 3 options and give
recommendation.
Mark Oberholzer said challenges may be worth going through.
Andy Johnson asked how far back do we go with the presentation? We have 6
others designs. City Manager Balser said the background is important. Our
Council and public like to understand "how you got there." She would be
hesitant to give recommendation when we have not put this out to public.
Commissioner Gorsevski agrees.
Mike Kranzdorf said it is important to know the O&M before presenting to
Council. Commissioner Menaker said it is about $300 per space for
maintenance.
