Section 7 Chapter 8.64 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended by the <br />addition of a new Section 8 64 045, to read as follows. <br />Sec. 8.64.045. — Designation of recycling materials. <br />Matenals shall be designated as recyclable through rules adopted by the city <br />manager City staff or city -contracted haulers may propose changes to the list of <br />recycling materials to the city manager <br />Section 8. Section 8.64 060 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows (words added are underlined, words deleted are strielferk-threugh) <br />Sec. 8.64.060. - City residential single -stream recycling and compostable <br />materials collection services. <br />A. The city or its contractors shall furnish residential single -stream <br />recycling and compostable matenals collection services as provided herein for all <br />residents within the city, except those specifically excluded m section 8 64 070 <br />B All single -stream recycling shall be placed in single -stream <br />recycling containers by the owner, tenant or <br />occupant of each residence. All compostable materials shall be placed in <br />compostable materials containers by the owner, tenant or occupant of each <br />residence. <br />C. Containers shall be placed in the street or alley adjacent to each <br />residence on a schedule established by the city. If there is no adjacent alley, <br />containers shall be placed on the street in front of the residence. <br />Section 9 Section 8.64 070 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows (words added are underlined, words deleted are strickenobi)• <br />Sec. 8.64.070 - Premises excluded from service. <br />Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, the city shall not provide <br />residential refuse, Of single -stream recycling or compostable matenals collection <br />services to the following sources. <br />A. Premises requinng special equipment or containers; <br />B All commercial or industnal establishments, <br />C Multifamily residences containing two or more units, and <br />D Homeowners' associations that provide their residents curbside <br />refuse and single -stream recycling collection services.
