Three have been nominated for approval by council for <br />approval at the 11/27/18 meeting for terms beginning January 1, 2019. <br />Golf Course Staff Update - David Baril <br />• After reviewing data, it's obvious last two years have had particularly good <br />Octobers and Novembers in terms of playable days. This year, 2018, <br />November has had 14 non -playable days, compared to 26 playable days <br />the past two years. <br />• Sales for 2019 season passes and outings are in progress. <br />• Grounds team has transitioned from four nine -month positions to three <br />year-round positions. <br />o In summer, continue to use seasonal employees <br />o Especially advantageous for spring <br />• Rainbird has replaced the vast majority of the course irrigation solenoids <br />• Strategic Plan Update Process <br />o Reviewed previous plan and status update <br />o Will take up strategic plan in January when new RAB members and <br />Parks & Rec Director are onboard <br />• Dynamic Pricing Update <br />o Discussed dynamic pricing model, which is commonly used in <br />industries such as airlines, hotels, and is becoming more common <br />in golf industry <br />o Applications and scheduling software are key <br />■ Several software systems have been reviewed <br />o Will require online scheduling usage by golfers, otherwise, golfers <br />will be charged rack rates <br />o Will simplify staffing, reducing need for staffers to field scheduling <br />phone calls <br />Recreation Staff Update and Construction Update — Kathy Martin <br />• Projected opening date for entire facility is December 28, 2018 <br />
