Call to Order : The meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm. <br />a. Roll Call: (Members present in bold): Seth Adams, Heather Braithwaite, Dan <br />Delahunty, Allison Johanson, Laura Levesque-Catalona. Marianne Martin, <br />Mark Persichetti; City -Staff Liaison Kurt Kowar, City Council Liaison Susan <br />Loo, City Sustainability Coordinator Katie Baum, Visitors: Historic <br />Preservation Commission Debby Fahey, Xcel Ellie Troxell, Xcel Craig <br />Eicher. <br />b. Approval of the Amended August 15, 2018 Meeting Minutes and <br />September 19, 2018 Meeting Minutes: Approved with no changes <br />c. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />i. Debbie — Attended the Historic Preservation Conference - <br />Preserving Buildings as an alternative to demolition. Also attended <br />the Carbon Neutral City Alliance. "Life after carbon". World <br />conference on preservation and sustainability. Various examples <br />around the globe on sustainability. <br />d. Sue's Minute <br />i. Money in budget for sustainability position. <br />ii. Last year there was a vote that passed on broadband access <br />provided by the city. We had a study done. The council decided not <br />to provide Broadline as a city. Cost is too high to make it worthwhile. <br />Counsel asked the staff to look into a "Media mile" a square mile of <br />downtown having access to high speed access. <br />iii. A communication position hire has been added to the 2019 budget. <br />e. Kurt's Minute — n/a <br />f. Katie's Minute <br />i. PIE coming to a close. Plan to have the full plan wrapped up by end <br />of year 2018. <br />ii. Applied for funding for two grants. Boulder County Sustainability <br />Matching Grant and Boulder County Zero Waste Grant. <br />iii. Sustainability series kicked off with Waste management at the library <br />on September 26. <br />1. Next series October 23rd at 6 PM - Transportation - Library <br />2. 3rd series November 14th at 5:30 PM - CU Extension <br />horticulture - spring planning for your garden. Library. <br />3.
