L <br />Cityf <br />Louisville <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Memorandum <br />To: Open Space Advisory Board <br />From: Ember Brignull, Open Space Manager <br />Date: January 9, 2019 <br />Re: Staff Updates <br />Introduction of Nathan Mosley Director of Parks, Recreation, and Open Space: <br />Louisville Announces New Director of Parks, Recreation & Open Space <br />Post Date: 11/20/2018 3:50 PM <br />Louisville City Manager Heather Balser has selected Nathan Mosley as the new <br />Director of Parks, Recreation & Open Space for the City of Louisville. <br />Mr. Mosley has more than 14 years of experience in the public sector and most <br />recently worked as the Director of Parks and Open Space for Adams County, <br />Colorado. He is a skilled manager with proven success in leading large projects, <br />managing budgets of more than $30,000,000, building strong collaborative teams, <br />and creating a positive work environment with a focus on providing excellent <br />customer service to both internal and external customers. He brings experience <br />working with community members, elected officials, and staff to develop and define <br />community goals and identify innovative strategies to achieve them. He has a BS in <br />Psychology from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Public <br />Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. Mr. Mosley is slated to begin <br />in late -December. <br />"It is my great pleasure to announce that Nathan Mosley will be joining the City of <br />Louisville as the Director of Parks, Recreation & Open Space. Nathan competed in a <br />national recruitment for the position. Four candidates were interviewed for the <br />position and Nathan rose to the top of this pool — I am excited to have him join the <br />Louisville team," stated City Manager Heather Balser. <br />
