umz Cityot <br />Louisville <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Memorandum <br />To: Open Space Advisory Board <br />From: Ember Brignull, Open Space Manager <br />Date: January 9, 2019 <br />Re: Discussion Item 9. 2019 Housekeeping <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this Discussion Item is to meet the requirements of the Home Rule <br />Charter, Colorado Open Meeting Laws, and OSAB By -Laws by passing a motion to <br />approve agenda posting locations, distribute the 2019 Open Government & Ethics <br />Pamphlet, pass a motion to elect officer positions, and update the OSAB Member <br />Contact Information and 2018 volunteer hours. <br />Background: <br />Agenda Posting Locations: Section 24-6-402 (2)(c) of the Colorado Open Meetings <br />Law requires all public bodies of the City designate the public place or places for <br />posting of notices of public meetings. The designation must be made at the local <br />body's first regular meeting of each calendar year. Below are the following agenda <br />posting locations for 2019: <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street <br />Police Department/Municipal Court, 992 West Via Appia <br />Recreation/Senior Center, 900 West Via Appia <br />Louisville Public Library, 951 Spruce Street <br />Pursuant to the Home Rule Charter, meeting notices and agendas are also published <br />at the City's web site at www.LouisvilleCO.gov. <br />Distribution of 2019 Open Government & Ethics Pamphlet: Section 4-16 (b) of the <br />Home Rule Charter requires the City to "publish and update a pamphlet or other <br />summary of Articles 4 and 5 of this Charter, and other laws relating to citizen <br />participation in municipal government. The pamphlet or summary shall be provided <br />to each member of a public body at its first meeting of the calendar year." <br />
