Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />January 28, 2019 <br />Page 4of 6 <br />Chairperson Machado noted there were no persons present in the audience to <br />speak for or against the application. He asked the applicant if they had any <br />closing remarks. <br />Mr. Lindgren thankedthe Authority members for their consideration of the <br />application. <br />Machadoclosed the public hearing and called for member discussionand <br />comments. <br />Brown noted he appreciated Chairperson Machado’s stressing the importance of <br />youth not being able to have access to the marijuana products at this location. <br />He noted he was encouraged by the report concerning all the trainingand also <br />cautioned the applicant about being vigilant. <br />Sergeant Redard noted the location is also close to the hotel districtand asked if <br />the database that checks against driver’s licenses was nationwide. The answer <br />was yes and Mr. Taggartnoted the current Louisville code restricts what persons <br />from out of state can purchase and they are aware and will follow that. <br />Machado cautioned the applicant to be very careful with the traffic this store <br />might have because of that proximity to the hotels. <br />Brownmovedthe Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the <br />applicant is of good moral character and all City and state law requirements have <br />been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve <br />issuance of a Retail Marijuana Store license for J2H2 Holdings, LLC doing <br />business as The Green Room.Kaufman seconded. <br />Machado noted he was pleasedto have an applicant with a proven track record <br />of operating a retail business without incident. <br />Roll Call Vote: Machado –yes, Brown –yes and Kaufman –yes. <br />C.Conversation with Chief Hayes <br />Sergeant Redard noted the Chief had provided Authority members with a <br />statistical sheet concerning crimes in Louisville and some of the surrounding <br />cities. Authority members briefly discussed the report. <br />D.2018 Annual Report <br />Machado moved toforward the annual report to City Council. Kaufman <br />seconded. All in favor. <br /> <br />
