Roll Call: PPLAB members present: Shelly Alm, Dave Clabots, Laurie <br />Harford, and Ellen Toon. Staff Liaison: Dean Johnson. City Council <br />Liaison: Susan Loo. Parks & Rec Director: Nathan Mosley. Open <br />Space Manager: Ember Brignull. <br />II. Approval of Agenda: Unanimously approved. <br />III. Approval of Minutes: Unanimously approved. <br />IV. Staff Updates: Dave Clabots and Ellen Toon were reappointed to <br />PPLAB for another term. Dean passed along input from a concerned <br />citizen asking PPLAB to consider not mowing the native area adjacent <br />to Cottonwood Park to encourage wildlife to inhabit this area as it did <br />before, when it wasn't mowed. <br />V Board Updates: Susan reported comments from some park users <br />regarding the new equipment that was installed at Heritage Park. The <br />complaint was that the new swing arrangement doesn't allow multiple <br />older children to swing together in a row. The swings are arranged with <br />a small child swing next to an older child swing. They asked Parks to <br />consider this when planning future playgrounds. <br />VI. Public comments on Items Not on the Agenda: none <br />VII. Election of Officers: The Board elected the 2019 officers as follows: <br />Chair: Ellen Toon. Vice -Chair: Shelly Alm. Secretary: Diana Gutowski <br />and Laurie Hartford will serve in the unofficial position as Co -Secretary. <br />VIII. Approval of Posting Locations and Distribution of Open <br />Government Pamphlet: The Board unanimously approved postings at <br />the following locations: City Hall, Recreation and Senior Center, <br />PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT • 749 MAIN STREET • LOUISVILLE, CO 80027 <br />(303) 335-4735 • FAX (303) 335-4738 <br />www.Iouisvilleco.gov <br />PARKS RECREATION SENIOR SERVICES OPEN SPACE FORESTRY TRAILS GOLF 2 <br />
