The Series will continue into
2019 with the first event beginning in late
April/May.
The City should consider adopting zoning
regulations to allow vendors more
flexible sales of locally produced goods,
such as from their own lots.
N/A
L-ET1S1: "Allow citizens to sell
locally produced items such as
eggs, honey and produce."
x
x
x
x
x
x
Not identified as top recommended action in
2018/2019 Action Plan and no available status
update.
Continue to work with local resident led
groups to enable community gardens, if
desired.
N/A
L-IT1S1: "Encourage additional
community garden locations
throughout Louisville."
x
x
x
x
x
x
x
x
The City currently hosts one community
garden, maintained by local residents and
managed by Denver Urban Gardens (DUG).
In 2018, 23 of the 24 plots were rented. As
a result of aggressive advertising, (on the
city's website, signage, at the farmer's
market, etc.) approximately one third of
the gardeners were new to the garden.
