Debbie mentioned that she liked seeing grants go to child -focused projects, since many <br />of our events are held on weekend nights and don't always appeal to families with <br />young children. <br />XI I I. 2019 Programming (Sean, Debbie, Adam): <br />a. Sean reported on the 3/16 Amelie Quartet. It was a success with a great turnout and the <br />whole team involved did a great job. <br />b. Debbie encouraged everyone to come to the Silent Movie on 4/12. <br />c. Sean let everyone knowthatthe G. Brown presentation on 4/24 will be an hour lecture <br />and then there will be time for Q&A. <br />d. Adam reported that the Summer Concert headliners are all set. <br />e. Kim reported that she is gathering names forthe SummerConcert support artists and <br />asked for any suggestions members might have. Adam said that we should focus on <br />artists with minimal production needs as there is not time/bandwidth to set up a big <br />stage production, do sound checks, etc. Need to be able to "plug and play". <br />XIV. LCC Ongoing Programming and Art lnstallments: <br />a. Adam mentioned thatthe 2017 Cultural Master plan was a great document to help us <br />figure out pertinent and appropriate types of programming. <br />b. Brown PaperTickets, will allow us to announce Standing Room Only (SRO) availability at <br />events in real time. <br />c. Katie said we could have additional chairs atthe Art Centeras long as we could find a <br />way to store them. <br />d. Reminderthatthe Steinbaugh Pavilion is open to use when available, and especially in <br />August. <br />e. We discussed a number of programming ideas in a brainstorming session: <br />i. Food, wine, and brewery presentations. <br />ii. Artist talks, including a muralisttotalk about street art. <br />iii. Asian and South Asian cultural presentations. <br />iv. Gemma Wilcox, Polly McLain <br />v. World Cultural Festival <br />vi. More dance presentations, includingthe Zimbabwe dance troupe who will be in <br />the area next fall. <br />vii. Circus(notanimals) presentations. <br />viii. Science presentations. <br />ix. Stories on Stage or Moth Radio Hour. <br />x. Athemedfilmfestival. <br />f. Reminderthatwecan utilize different locations in town, including South Boulder Rd. <br />parking areas, Alfalfa's, McCasli n, and the Arboretum. <br />g. Adam said Katie will email outthe list and everyoneshould come to the April meeting <br />with more specific orfleshed out ideas. <br />XV. XV. Local event share: Robbytalked aboutthe open micsessions he hosts at Bittersweet every <br />first and third Tuesdays. <br />XVI. Adjourn at 8 PM. Kate moved to adjourn, Kim seconded, all approved. <br />
