SUBJECT: <br />AIRPORT CONSULTANT UPDATE <br />DATE: <br />MAY 14, 2019 <br />PAGE2OF2 <br />partners like the airport and FAA and expand awareness of the new noise <br />program and to encourage compliance. <br />The consultants and staff have already started implementing public outreach efforts by <br />providing project information on the City's website at <br />http://www.louisvilleco.gov/residents/rocky-mountain-metropolitan-airport. The webpage <br />also includes a link for residents to share noise complaints with the airport, a link to ask <br />questions about the noise mitigation project and Frequently Asked Questions about the <br />airport and its operations. <br />PROGRAM/SUB-PROGRAM IMPACT: <br />One of the objectives of the Public Information & Involvement Sub -Program is giving <br />residents the opportunity to get involved and influence decision -making. The noise <br />mitigation project incorporates resident input and develops solutions to address <br />concerns. It also incorporates a collaborative approach with a regional partner to <br />address an issue of mutual interest, which is a Critical Success Factor from the City's <br />Strategic Plan. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The City has agreed to split the cost of the project with the Town ($15,000 each). <br />Funding for this item will be included in the upcoming 2019 budget amendment. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is seeking feedback from City Council on the direction of the project and work <br />completed to -date. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
