Cityoy <br />Louisville <br />City Manager's Office <br />Memorandum <br />To: Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />From: Katie Baum, Sustainability Specialist <br />Date: June 11, 2019 <br />Re: Staff Updates <br />General <br />• Green Business workshops update: <br />o April 16th — Marketing your Green Business: 15 attendees <br />o May 9th - Electric Vehicle Charging Station Workshop & EV Test Drive: 20-25 attendees <br />o June 18th — Commercial Water Conservation: 10 RSVP'd <br />o September 17th, Sustainable Transportation for your Employees Workshop @ TBD, <br />hosted by Commuting Solutions <br />o October 16th, Sustainable Purchasing Practices Workshop @ TBD, hosted by Matt <br />LeBeau and EcoCycle <br />o TBD (most likely late March/Early April), Renewable Energy/Solar workshop with <br />installers <br />• Data collection and benchmarking energy usage with Xcel Energy continues. Goal setting <br />meeting took place with Council liaisons in late -May. Updates on progress and goal setting to <br />follow. <br />• The City applied for a Charge Ahead grant on February 15th for a Level 2 charger to be installed <br />at the newly renovated Recreation Center. Staff will send RFP out to RAQC vendors on June <br />18th. <br />• Staff is working on a Municipal Electric Vehicle Plan, which will provide guidelines for future EV <br />adoption and preparedness action items. <br />• There will be a final draft of the Transportation Master Plan soon for staff to review and and <br />share with the public in mid -June ahead of the public open house on June 26tn <br />• Republic Services will be taking part in City events throughout the summer, as well as ongoing <br />communications regarding service. Four neighborhood meetings will take place in August at <br />corresponding neighborhood parks. Republic will be on -hand to answer residents' questions <br />and additional services available through the organization. Staff will also be at a booth <br />
