Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />Thursday July 11, 2019 <br />Louisville City Services <br />739 104th St <br />7 PM <br />1. Roll Call: PPLAB members present: Shelly Alm, Dave Clabots, Diana <br />Gutowski, Mark Newland, Laurie Harford, Ellen Toon, Ezra Paddock. <br />Director of Parks & Rec Nathan Mosley. City Council Liaison Susan Loo <br />2. Approval of Agenda: Unanimously approved <br />3. Approval of Minutes: Unanimously approved <br />4. Staff Updates: <br />a. Board Survey: Key Indicators Streetscapes Sub -Program: PPLAB to give <br />an overall rating to maintenance in medians and street landscaping, <br />taking into account indicators such as turf maintenance, trees pruned, <br />and planting bed maintenance. <br />b. Parks Dept. is currently fully staffed, including seasonal labor. <br />5. Board Updates <br />a. Ezra met as part of a tandem subcommittee to identify opportunities for <br />Louisville athletic amenities. An addendum to the citizen survey is being <br />formulated to ascertain which outdoor athletic facilities are used the <br />most and to gauge Louisville's biggest need for outdoor athletic facilities <br />other than aquatics, trails, and open space. <br />b. Laurie presented a citizen request for a Community Park dog park <br />update: Install a gate to provide access between the little dog area and <br />the pond; provide a shelf for water pitchers to supply water to the little <br />dog area. <br />c. Mark will be submitting a letter of resignation due to an out of town <br />move. <br />6. Public Comments on Items Not on Agenda <br />a. None <br />
