In red -penciled handwriting apparently written in 1980 on the ground layout that had been
drawn in 1971, above, there is an instruction to see a supplementary card, but no additional
card could be found.
The following aerial photo from 1962 shows the small block on which 829 Rex sits. The view is
facing eastward towards the railroad tracks. 829 Rex appears on the right (south). 320
Roosevelt had not yet been built next to it to the west. The two houses to the north of 829 Rex,
which appear on the left, are 833 and 841 Parkview.
In 1965, George and Maria Codron conveyed ownership of 829 Rex to themselves plus their
daughter, Zoe Codron James. In 1978, after the death of her parents, Zoe conveyed ownership
to herself and her husband, Leroy Hutchings. Also in 1978, they sold 829 Rex to Gary A.
Handschumacher and Marcia J. Collins.
Later Owners: In 1997, Gary A. Handschumacher & Marcia J. Collins sold 829 Rex to Annie Hunt.
In 2012, she conveyed ownership to J. Patrick Adcock and David Harwood. They, along with
Jane Milford and Ellen Marshall, are the current owners of record.
The preceding research is based on a review of relevant and available online County property records, census
records, oral history interviews, Louisville directories, and Louisville Historical Museum maps, files, and obituary
records.
5
