RESOLUTION NO. 18 <br />SERIES 2018 <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A REQUEST TO AMEND TITLE <br />17 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING LOT COVERAGE <br />STANDARDS FOR THE RESIDENTIAL ESTATE ZONE DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville previously adopted Residential Estate yard and <br />bulk standards in Title 17 of the LMC that sets forth a 20 percent lot coverage maximum; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, following the original construction of residential structures in many of <br />the Residential Estate zone district neighborhoods in accordance with approved Planned <br />Unit Developments, the City amended Title 17 of the LMC to require that underlying zone <br />district standards apply when that standard is not set by the approval of a Planned Unit <br />Development, leading to a majority of Residential Estate zoned properties becoming non- <br />conforming to the yard and bulk standards by exceeding the maximum lot coverage; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission desires to amend the Residential Estate <br />zone district lot coverage maximums; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the application at a duly <br />noticed public hearing on December 13, 2018, where evidence and testimony were <br />entered into the record, including the findings in the Louisville Planning Commission Staff <br />Report dated December 13, 2018. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado does hereby recommend approval of a request to amend Title 17 of <br />the Louisville Municipal Code regarding lot coverage standards for the Residential <br />Estate zone district. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th of December, 2018. <br />By: ! �► <br />Steve Brauneis, Chairperson <br />Planning Commission <br />Attest: <br />Zebra Williams, Secretary <br />Planning Commission <br />
