Discussion/Direction - Ordinance Increasing Certain Application, Registration
and License Fees with Respect to Alcohol Beverage Licensing

Authority Attorney, Sam Light gave a brief overview of the attached resolution for the Authority's
consideration and a draft ordinance which would be present to Council for approval. The resolution is
resetting the fees based on the recodification of the liquor code and proposed ordinance that would be
forwarded to the City Council which would amend the City code to update the fees based upon the
current fees in the recodified Liquor Code. Under the Liquor Code the Authority has the authority to set
application fees therefore we do that by resolution of this board. Authority Attorney recommended that
the Authority pass Resolution No. 1, Series 1997, and approve the ordinance to be forwarded to the City
Council for consideration at its next meeting. The actual application fee ~ncreases are proposed to take
effect for applications received on or after July 1, 1997, which would effect the ones the Authority
Secretary is currently processing for the next Authority meeting.

POLICE DEPARTMENT'S REPORT
NONE
