Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 16, 2019 <br />Louisville City hall, 749 Main St, Louisville, CO <br />6:30pm <br />I. Call to Order <br />II. Roll Call <br />a. Members present: Beth McLennan, Robby Pitt, Kim Poletti, Kate Ward, Leah Franks, Mark <br />Cathcart, Adam Sloat, Sean Moynihan, Debbie Davies, Mike Crowe <br />b. City Representatives present: Katie Zoss, Jeff Lipton <br />III. Attendance and Volunteer Hours Log were circulated <br />IV. Approval of Today's Agenda: Beth motioned to approve, Kim seconded, all approved <br />V. Public Comments: <br />VI. Correction and/or Approval of February Meeting Minutes: Sean motioned to approve, Mike <br />seconded, all approved. <br />VII. Chair's Report (Adam): <br />a. Advisory board chair meetings; they talked about some boards that have conflicts, and it's <br />nice that LCC gets along well. <br />b. Adam suggested that the group pursue opportunities for other boards to connect/partner <br />with LCC. Not a lot of response, which is not surprising given that we have quite a <br />different mission. <br />c. Sub -committee; need to discuss in person, we can't have email threads w/more than 3 <br />people. Need to blind CC others. <br />VIII. Treasurer's Report (Debbie not present yet): <br />a. <br />b. <br />IX. City Council Report (Jeff): <br />a. Jeff did not report tonight. <br />X. Staff Report (Katie): <br />a. All the Boulder County goves met with SCFD reps to discuss how things work. <br />b. Denver Center for the Performing Arts: "Shakespeare in the Parking Lot" <br />c. Denver Art Museum: "Art Lives Here." Native American art, teaching kids to be decent. <br />d. Denver Museum of Arts & Sciences: "Museum on Wheels," exhibit based on taste. <br />i. "Educators' night" in the fall <br />e. Denver Botanic Gardens: Programs where they come into communities and create garden <br />tours. <br />f. "Let's take advantage of these programs!" <br />i. Training programs for artists — could we bring people in to do those? <br />ii. Add on to the programming that LAA aready provides. <br />
