Tnat WHEREAS it has <br /> been reported by 'the"Water Commis- <br /> sioner of the Town of Louisville, that <br /> the,size of the reservoir from which the <br /> city system of mains"and water 'pipes <br /> is supplied with water, .is inadequate <br /> for the needs of 'saiet Eto',n, and that <br /> the sum of ten thou'siand-dollars is nec- <br /> essary to increase the capacity of said <br /> reservoir and put in a filter and make <br /> the necessary outlets, connections and <br /> ' additions to the water works system it <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, it,is,required by the gen- <br /> ' l' eral laws of th'e state of Colorado that <br /> before authority -for the issuance of <br /> r ,t bonds shall be given that the question <br /> shall be submitted to the tax payers of <br /> ; any such town for their approval or <br /> rejection, and <br /> WHEREAS, the regular election of <br /> said town -Is to be 'held on the first <br /> Tuesday in April, 1910; and that such <br /> question can readily ,be voted upon at <br /> such regular election, <br /> j, NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved <br /> that at the regular election to be hold- <br /> ,, ' ! en in the Town of LouiSville, Colorado, <br /> on the first Tuesday in April, 1910, there <br /> shall be submitted to the qualified el- <br /> .,; <br /> ,+,, ectors who are tax payers of said town, <br /> the question as to whether the Board <br /> of Trustees shall be authorized to issue <br /> , the bonds of said town to the extent <br /> of ten thousand dollars in denomina- <br /> "; tions or each bond 'of one hundred <br /> - dollars, drawing 7 per cent. interest per <br /> annum, payable .semi-annuallyi. <br /> Section 2. The Town Clerk shall pro- <br /> vide for the Use of said election two <br /> ballots, one of which shall read as fol.- <br /> lows.— "For authorizing the Board of <br /> Trustees <br /> dollars,"I bondsssue <br /> anu the other to ,•readou <br /> s- <br /> ' andas <br /> follows•— "Against authorizing the <br /> Board of Trustees to issue bonds for <br /> ten thousand dollars.", ' <br /> Section 3. The said ballots shall be <br /> at,the regular voting place on said <br /> regular election day,at said town, and <br /> shall be given only to those who are <br /> qualified electors of said town, and who <br /> shall in the next year preceding said I <br /> election, have paid a property tax <br /> therein, who shall have the right to <br /> deposit in a ballot box provided for <br /> that purpose, one of said ballots; that <br /> after said polls are closed, said ballots <br /> shall be counted and the returns there- <br /> of be transmitted to the proper author- <br /> ities as provided- for in the election 'of <br /> officers of said town. And when the I <br /> canvassing board of said town shall <br /> meet, if sufficient ballots are cast in <br /> favor of said proposed bonds, then an <br /> ordinance may at the first regular <br /> meeting be passed conferring said au- <br /> thority; and if a majority of said bal- ll <br /> lots so cast shall be against the issu- <br /> I ance of said bonds, then nothing furth- <br /> er shall be done in the premises. <br /> Said ordinance was read; and it was <br /> moved and seconded that same be pass-. <br /> ed.
