No.''72. , 1 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO • THE USE OF AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE `TOWN O'F- LOUISVILLE, STATE OF C'OLO- RADO:— • - . Section 1. That is shall be unlawful for any person to drive any automobile upon the streets or alleys of the Town of Louisville, within the limits of the business district, as hereinafter defined, at a speed exceeding ten miles per hour, or upon any street crossing within said 1 district at a speed exceeding six miles per hour. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any automobile upon the streets or alleys of the Town of Louisville outside the limits of said business district at a speed exceeding • , fifteen miles per hour, or, if the way is not clear, at a speed exceeding ten miles per hour. Section 2. That, at all places where necessary, sufficient,, warning shall be I (given of the approach of any auto- mobile, 'by horn or other adequate I means. Section 3.,That no automobile. unless some competent person be present at the time and in charge thereof, shall be I left standing upon any street, alley or • other public place within the Town of 1 Louisville with its engine running. 1 Section 4. That upon all 'automobiles driven upon any street, alley or other I public Place 'within the Town of Louis-1 ville after darif',two front'light-'sand ones'- I rear light (red) ""shalt: be` displayed; provided that upon motor 'cycles only one light shall be requiredi'. Section 5. That it shall ,be qinlawful for the owner of any automobile to per- mit the same to be driven upon the streets, alleys or other public place of the Town of Louisville, by any person 11Inger the age of seventeen years, un- less a,ccompained by and under the su- pervision of some competent person I above that age. Section 6.' That for the purpose of I this ordinance, the expression "business i district" shall be a deemed to mean all that part of Front street between the south limits of said Town of Louisville and Caledonia street on- "the north, thence west on said Caledonia'street to Second street; thence south on Second II street to the south limits of said Town: together with all the intersecting and uniting streets within said limits and including said streets herein mentioned 1 and as described., Section 7. That for the purpose of this ordinance the term "automobile" shall be deemed to include any vehicle propelled by an engine or motor con- tained within or forming a part of such vehicle, expressly. including what are 1 commonly designated "motor cycles." Section 8. That.all vehicles, whether automobiles, •carriages, bicycles or any I other conveyance, ridden or driven up- on the streets, alleys and other public places within the Town of Louisville, 'shall observe the' following If regulation..1. All such,vehicles when meeting ' shall turn to the right. 2. Any such vehicle in passing an- 1 other from the rear shall turn out to the left. 3. At all street crossings,,all such ve- hicles, whether turning the corner or crossing the street,, shall keep-"to the l right of the point of intersecting of the center lines of the intersecting streets. Section 9. That any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemean- or and upon conviction shall be fined 1 not'less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more . than one hundred dollars ($100.00)„ or be imprisoned not less than one day nor more than sixty days. • Introduced, read and ordered published this, 6th day of July; A.
