ORDINANCE NO. 101. <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SHOWS, EXHIBITIONS, MERRY-GO-ROUNDS AND <br /> OTHER AIVfl SEMENTS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF LOUIS- <br /> VILLE, BOULDER COUNTY, COLO,RADO <br /> Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation <br /> to have , exhibit, operate or maintain, within this town for gain <br /> or profit , whether by charging an entrance fee or otherwise , any <br /> circus, menagerie , side-show, street show, street carnival, or any <br /> other traveling exhibition, or merry-go-round without a license' there <br /> for first had and obtained according to the provision of this ordin- <br /> ance. <br /> Section 2. For a license for a circus, or for circus and menagerie <br /> or other similar exhibition or show combined for which one admis- <br /> sion is charged, for one exhibition the sum of Fifteen Dollars; <br /> for each additional exhibition the sum of Ten Dollars; for menag- <br /> erie alone, for one exhibition, the sum of fifteen dollars; for <br /> each additional exhibition, sum of Ten Dollars;. for each side-show, <br /> traveling exhibition or show of like nature accompanying a c'iraus <br /> or menagerie for which an additional admittance fee is charged, <br /> the sum of Ten Dollars; for each additional exhibition, the sum <br /> Five Dollars; for each street show Or for each carnival company <br /> operating one or more independent exhibitions for separate admis- <br /> sions , the sum of Five Dollars per day for each of such exhibitions, ,, <br /> or the sum of twenty-five dollars per week for each such exhibition <br /> of any other kind than as covered by the foregoing, which has or <br /> uses its own tent or structure for its exhibitions , the sum of Five <br /> Dollars per day, or the sum of Twenty-five Dollars per week. <br /> For each Merry-go-round the sum of Twenty-five Dollars per week <br /> or the sum of Five Dollars per day for each day less than one full <br /> week. All ,such license fees shall be paid in advance or at the <br /> time the license is issued. <br /> Section 3. in all cases under the provision of this ordinance where <br /> the time for which the license shall be given shall be specified <br /> in days , the hour of the isue and termination of such license shall <br /> be stated therein. Such license shall be prepared by the town clerk, <br /> signed by the mayor and attested by the clerk. <br /> Section 4. Any license granted pursuant to the provisions of this <br /> ordinance may be revoked ,without refund or rebate of any part of the <br /> license fee if the exhibition of such licensee shall be immoral, <br /> vicious, indecent , or having a tendency by suggestion, to lower the <br /> morals of the spectators. <br /> Section 5. Whoever+ violates the provisions of this ordinance shall <br /> be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined <br /> in any sum not more than Three Hundred Dollars. <br /> INTRODUCED, READ, ADOPTED and ordered published by publication in <br /> the Louisvi..le Times, this 5th day of October, A.
