-ORDINANCE NO. 128 <br /> [I . <br /> ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING WATER RATES AND <br /> PRIVILEGES IN RELATION TO THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM. <br /> AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE USE OF WATER FROM THE WATER WORKS OF THE <br /> TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, AND ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS <br /> GOVERNING WATER RATES AND PRIVILEGES AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR <br /> VIOLATION OF SAID RULES AND REGULATION AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br /> AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEKETO. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, COUNTY <br /> OF BOULDER AND STATE OF COLORADO, <br /> Section 1. The. Water commissioner shall have the immediate control and ' <br /> management of all things pertaining to the town water works, and he shall <br /> perform all acts that may be necessary for the prudent , efficient and <br /> economical management and protection of said water works , subject to the <br /> approval and confirmation of the Town Council. <br /> Section 2. BOOKS and PAPERS. The Town Clerk shall have the care and <br /> safe keeping of all books and papers belonging to the water department, <br /> and shall deliver the same to his successor in office. <br /> Section 3. Receipts and Deposits. The Town Clerk shall keep a coreot <br /> w account of all receipts, and, make out all bills for water rents and <br /> materials furnished to consumers , collect the same 'and deposit the pro- <br /> ceeds so collected with the Town Treasurer to the credit of the water <br /> works fund of said town, and in accordance with the direction of the <br /> Town Council. <br /> Section 4. Taps and Service Pipes., The water commissioner shall have <br /> all taps for service made and see that they are properly installed and <br /> recorded on the books of the Town Clerk., <br /> Section 5. Inspection. Amended by Ordinance, No. 182. <br /> Section 6. Rules and Regulations. The following rules and regulations' <br /> are hereby established for the management , control and protection of the <br /> Town Water Works. Said rules shall be considered a part of the contract <br /> withevery person who takes water from the Town Water Works, and every <br /> person taking water shall be considered as having expressed consent <br /> to be bound thereby. <br /> Rule 1. Application for the use of water shall be made to the Town <br /> Clerk at hi's office, The application must be made by the owner or <br /> agent of the property to be benefitted, designating the location of the <br /> property and stating the purpose for which the water may be required. <br /> /`Rule 2. At the time of making the application, the Town Clerk shall <br /> 111 collect the sum of five dollars ?5. 00 to cover the cost of making the <br /> tap from the water main and the corporation cock. <br /> Rule 3.. Should the owner or the occupant of the premises desire add- <br /> itional services or fixtures, or to apply the water forbpurposes not <br /> stated at the time of the original application, permission must be <br /> obtained therefor.
