-ORDINANCE NO. 128 [I . ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING WATER RATES AND PRIVILEGES IN RELATION TO THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM. AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE USE OF WATER FROM THE WATER WORKS OF THE TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, AND ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING WATER RATES AND PRIVILEGES AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF SAID RULES AND REGULATION AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEKETO. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, COUNTY OF BOULDER AND STATE OF COLORADO, Section 1. The. Water commissioner shall have the immediate control and ' management of all things pertaining to the town water works, and he shall perform all acts that may be necessary for the prudent , efficient and economical management and protection of said water works , subject to the approval and confirmation of the Town Council. Section 2. BOOKS and PAPERS. The Town Clerk shall have the care and safe keeping of all books and papers belonging to the water department, and shall deliver the same to his successor in office. Section 3. Receipts and Deposits. The Town Clerk shall keep a coreot w account of all receipts, and, make out all bills for water rents and materials furnished to consumers , collect the same 'and deposit the pro- ceeds so collected with the Town Treasurer to the credit of the water works fund of said town, and in accordance with the direction of the Town Council. Section 4. Taps and Service Pipes., The water commissioner shall have all taps for service made and see that they are properly installed and recorded on the books of the Town Clerk., Section 5. Inspection. Amended by Ordinance, No. 182. Section 6. Rules and Regulations. The following rules and regulations' are hereby established for the management , control and protection of the Town Water Works. Said rules shall be considered a part of the contract withevery person who takes water from the Town Water Works, and every person taking water shall be considered as having expressed consent to be bound thereby. Rule 1. Application for the use of water shall be made to the Town Clerk at hi's office, The application must be made by the owner or agent of the property to be benefitted, designating the location of the property and stating the purpose for which the water may be required. /`Rule 2. At the time of making the application, the Town Clerk shall 111 collect the sum of five dollars ?5. 00 to cover the cost of making the tap from the water main and the corporation cock. Rule 3.. Should the owner or the occupant of the premises desire add- itional services or fixtures, or to apply the water forbpurposes not stated at the time of the original application, permission must be obtained therefor.
