ORDINANCE NO. 133. <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING DANCING. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF LOUIS- <br /> VILLE; <br /> Section 1. That from and after the passage and adoption of this or- <br /> dinance it shall be unlawful for any persons within the corporate <br /> limits of this town, during the hours beginning with twelve o' clock <br /> P. M: on Saturday night and ending with twelve o' clock P. M. on <br /> Sunday night to carry on or engage in dancing, with or without musi- <br /> cal accompanigit , at in or on any public or semi-public place or <br /> occasion, whether a charge or fee is made or paid, directly or in- <br /> directly, or not for the privilege or engaging or indulging in or <br /> as a spectator of same; and it shall likewise be unlawful for any <br /> person, firm, corporation or association to let or permit his, their <br /> or its building or premises to be used for such purposes during <br /> the hours aforesaid or for any person or persons to supply or fur- <br /> nish or render music for such purposes during such hours. <br /> Section 2. Every person, firm, corporation or association violating <br /> any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed and held <br /> guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof may be fined <br /> in any sum not less than five dollars nor more than three hundred <br /> dollars. <br /> Section 3, It is' hereby declared that the foregoing ordinance and <br /> each section thereof is necessary and essential for public peace , <br /> health and safety of the Town of Louisville and of the inhabitants <br /> thereof and such ordinance shall be in effect from and after five <br /> days after publication of same , following its passage and adoption. <br /> Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict ,her'e- <br /> with are hereby repealed. <br /> Frank Mangus, <br /> Mayor. <br /> Attest; <br /> Introduced, read, adopted and ordered published by publication in <br /> the Louisville Times, this 7th day of March A.
