Some of you, including Mayor Sisk are very well aware of the
property issues that I fought with the city over for a long time. In my case, because of the city not doing it's permit
work properly before we bought our property,we lost over 500 sq. feet of our lot because of this "process". Myself and
all my neighbors feel the city should quit letting people split their lots and doing this stuff. Just drive by my home at
740 West St. and see for yourselves what this process has done here. We feel it is clearly NOT good.
We also still feel very strongly that ethically, the city still owes us compensation for their screw up with our
property loss, regardless of what Mr. Wood says. If the city keeps on doing this it just brings down the quality of real
estate life all around where it happens. I was unable to fight back legally with my issue, but it will never be forgiven or
forgotten. Do the right thing for once, deny the variance- I dare you.
Sincerely,
Gary Davis - 740 West St.
04/09/200R
