lia City0j Im Louisville <br />PARKS, RECREATION & OPEN SPACE DEPARTMENT <br />Memorandum <br />To: Recreation Advisory Board (RAB) <br />From: Nathan Mosley, Director of Parks, Recreation and Open Space <br />Date: December 16, 2019 <br />Re: Nawatny Ridge GDP and Land Dedication Review <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this agenda item is to allow the City of Louisville Planning Department staff as <br />well as the applicant to provide current information related to a development proposal for the <br />property formally known as Storage Tech/Phillips66. <br />Materials provided by the Planning Department and the applicant will provide RAB members <br />with information related to the proposed development. <br />RAB's role at the GDP phase is to provide feedback and a formal recommendation to Open <br />Space staff/City Council regarding the land dedication proposal. Some items that RAB should <br />consider are: <br />• Amount of land dedicated <br />• Location of the land dedicated <br />• Condition and/or appropriateness of the land dedicated for the intended purpose <br />• Improvements needed to restore the land or provide amenities <br />• Programming or use of the land dedicated <br />• Public access to the dedicated land or connections created by the land dedications <br />• Preferences for cash -in -lieu over actual land dedication. <br />When the City reviews the final subdivision plat and PUD application, RAB will have the <br />opportunity to review and provide additional recommendations/feedback. <br />Next Steps: <br />RAB should provide a formal recommendation regarding the land dedication and be prepared to <br />review and provide feedback/recommendations of future submittals related to Final Plat/PUD at <br />subsequent board meetings. <br />5 <br />
