DRAFT ORDINANCE: <br />Based upon Planning Commission comments the ordinance draft has been revised. The draft <br />ordinance is structured to incorporate the following three principal elements: <br />1. Sec. 17.20.160. Motor vehicle parking limitations. <br />A. It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle, or for any person as <br />owner, lessee, tenant or occupant of any residential lot to permit a motor vehicle to <br />be parked, in the front yard of a residential lot,except on the paved driveway which is <br />intended for parking or access to the garage or carport, or on an improved surface <br />adjacent to a paved driveway, <br />B. On residential lots, no more than two motor vehicles may be parked on any <br />area of the lot other than within a fully enclosed structure or on the paved driveway <br />which is intended for parking or access to the garage or carport. A motor vehicle <br />which is parked or stored on an improved surface adjacent to a paved driveway, or in <br />a rear yard, a side yard, or a side yard adjacent to the street shall be counted towards <br />the limit of two such vehicles. No more than one such motor vehicle may be an <br />inoperable vehicle as defined in section 8.16.040.D.1 of this code. <br />C. A motor vehicle which is parked in a rear yard, a side yard, or a side yard adjacent <br />to the street shall be screened by a solid fence enclosure. Such fence enclosure shall <br />be six feet in height and shall be constructed in full compliance with this code, <br />including vision clearance requirements. <br />1307B. For the purposes of this section, "motor vehicle" means any self-propelled <br />vehicle which is designed primarily for travel on the public highways and which is <br />generally and commonly used to transport persons and property over the public <br />highways, but excluding recreational vehicles as defined in section 17.20.165. <br />E. B. For the purposes of this section, "motor vehicle" means any self-propelled <br />vehicle which is designed primarily for travel on the public highways and which is <br />generally and commonly used to transport persons and property over the public <br />highways, but excluding recreational vehicles as defined in section 17.20.165. <br />F. No minimum setbacks are required for motor vehicles from adjoining property <br />lines. <br />2. Sec. 17.20.165. Parking of recreational vehicles and trailers. <br />A. Residential Areas: Recreational vehicles and trailers may be parked in <br />residential zone districts subject to the following requirements: <br />1. Total maximum number allowed: A maximum combined total of two of <br />the following may be parked or stored on a residential lot outside of a fully enclosed <br />structure: <br />Deleted: or for residential comer lots <br />within any area between the streets and <br />the walls of the structure(s) facing the <br />streets <br />Deleted:.
