Plan and organize annual high school mock tournament for four <br />Colorado counties. <br />• 1999 – 2014 – Bar exam grader for Colorado bar applicants <br />• 2011 – 2014 – Served on the Board of Directors for Union Colony Preparatory <br />School. Approved contracts for teachers and administrative personnel; oversaw <br />multimillion-dollar budget; conducted evaluations for key personnel. <br />• 2009 – 2010 – Executive Committee member for Larimer County Bar Association. <br />Managed budget and coordinated speakers for CLEs <br />• 2007 – 2008 – President of Byron White Inns of Court, an association designed to <br />improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of members of the bar and to foster <br />relationships between the bench and the bar for Larimer and Weld Counties. <br />• 2002 – 2005 – Commissioner for 19th Judicial District Commission on Judicial <br />Performance. Evaluated, drafted and distributed the Commission’s <br />recommendations on retention or non-retention of county and district court judges. <br />Investigated and evaluated judges who received poor performance ratings and <br />determined if non-retention or performance action plan was best avenue to <br />proceed. <br />• 1999 – 2005 – Served on Executive Committee for Weld County Juvenile <br />Community Review Board. Encouraged state and local government cooperation <br />regarding adjudicated delinquent youths. Reviewed specific cases of youths <br />proposed for community placement and accepted or rejected such <br />recommendations. <br />• 2001 – 2004 - Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA Volunteer). Worked with <br />families to evaluate children in dependency and neglect cases as assigned by <br />Court. Provided recommendation to courts regarding best interest of the child. <br />• 2003 - Recipient of “Women in Law” award from Weld County Bar Association. <br />• 2002 - 2003 – Served on Board of Directors for Weld County Legal Services - A <br />program designed to provide free or low-cost legal representation for the indigent <br />population. Responsible for managing volunteers, staff and budget to ensure <br />success of program. <br />• 2001 - 2003 – President/Vice President for Weld County Bar Association. <br />Handled all matters presented to the Bar Association including complaints from the <br />public; Coordinated speakers and CLEs for local bar meetings; Managed <br />community service projects and Bar Association budget; Organized local sitting for <br />Colorado Court of Appeals oral arguments <br />• 2001 - Rotary International Professional Exchange Program - Represented United <br />States to rotary members and legal professionals abroad. Gave presentations to <br />professional organizations in Colorado about Australia and its legal system. <br />• 1995 – 1997 - Staff Member for “Preventive Law Journal” University of Denver <br />College of Law - Published article regarding Colorado’s Governmental Immunity <br />Act. <br /> <br />16.
