line 2., the lease expiration date of 11-2112 appeared to be wrong. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY BUSINESS <br /> <br />Show Cause Heating - L & G Liquors Inc., d/b/a L & G Liquors - Retail Liquor Store <br />License- 1140 Pine Street. <br /> <br />Authority Member Lipton called the Show Cause Hearing to Order. <br /> <br />Attorney Kelly reviewed that at the November 29, 1999 meeting, the Authority conducted a Show Cause <br />Hearing for L&G Liquors. The matter was continued and the Authority directed the Attorney to prepare <br />a draft of the final findings, conclusions and an order for adoption at the next regular meeting. The draft <br />of the Findings of Fact, Conclusions of law, and Final Decision and Order was included in the packet for <br />the Authority Members' review. <br /> <br />Authority Members Jeffers and Myers suggested revision to the Findings. After Authority discussion <br />Attorney Kelly reviewed each revision for clarification. <br /> <br />On page 3, item M., line 3, the second sentence will revised to read "This driver's license is issued in the <br />name of Andy E. Bansle, and appears to list a date of birth of August 17, 1978, although the date and <br />name are not clear." <br /> <br />The second change added two paragraphs to the Findings of Fact, and relabeled paragraph as S., Q. Add <br />a paragraph Q. to page 4, that will read "The licensee admitted selling alcohol to Mr. Jellema." "The <br />issue then became one of identification and whether a fraudulent identification was produced, and not of <br />the sale itself." <br /> <br />The other new paragraph to page 4, labeled R. that will read "At the heating, the licensee testified he <br />recognized Mr. Jellema as someone who he knew worked at Pine Street Junction, and that Mr. Jellema <br />attempted to buy beer six months prior. The licensee further testified that on September 3, he asked Mr. <br />Jellema if he had turned twenty-one." <br /> <br />Page 5, paragraph C., the final sentence will revised to read "Although the Licensee testified he had made <br />a photocopy of the identification produced by Mr. Jellema at the time Mr. Jellema purchased alcohol from <br />him, the appearance of the photocopied driver's license admitted into evidence as Licensee's Exhibit A <br />conflicts with statements made by Mr. Galvin to Officer Moua during Officer Moua's investigation on <br />September 3, 1999, and with the license produced by Mr. Jellema to Officer Moua on that evening." <br /> <br />Michael Rennich, Attorney for the Licensee, was present to speak to mitigating factors with respect to <br />the Authority imposing a penalty for the violation.
