All members were in favor, the motion carried. <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT - None <br />SECRETARY'S REPORT <br /> <br />The Secretary reported on the Liquor Training dates. Two classes are scheduled to be held in Lafayette <br />on Sunday, January 23, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. Jennifer <br />Wickersham, &the Liquor Enforcement Division will conduct the training classes. The Secretary <br />reported that notices of the scheduled classes were sent to all liquor establishments in Louisville. <br /> <br />The Secretary reported that a letter written by Police Chief, Bruce Goodman to Union Jack Liquor Store <br />Owner Doug Harper, was forwarded to her by Sergeant Riggins. Sergeant Riggins asked that the letter <br />and attachment be distributed to the Authority Members. The letter involved an article about recent sting <br />operations conducted in Lafayette. <br /> <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Attorney Kelly reported that she had contacted the State Liquor Enforcement relative to the recent <br />Authority discussions with Carrabba's Italian Grill's outdoor patio area. The Authority had concerns as <br />to the control of liquor within this area. Kelly stated that the State is also concerned but has no provision <br />to prohibit it, and have suggested local control. <br /> <br />There was Authority discussion relative to Carrabba's halian Grill and the Outback Restaurant. It was <br />determined that the Authority would work with Carrabba's on fencing or gating to control liquor service <br />in the patio area. With respect to the Outback, the Authority also determined that the restaurant manager <br />would be invited to meet with the Authority to discuss this concern. <br /> <br />Attorney Kelly provided a draf~ of the revised Rules of Procedures for the Local Licensing Authority. <br />She stated that legislative changes have been made and the format of the document has been updated. <br />She stated that it was a drat~ of proposed changes and asked the Members review the document and <br />discuss adoptions or revisions at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY COMMENTS <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeffers stated that at the January 2000 meeting, the Authority should hold an election of its <br />members and seek nominations for Chairperson. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br /> <br />
