Pasquini's Letter

A copy of the letter drafted by Chairperson J. Bryan Myers and sent to Pasquini' s concerning the
rear patio area of the licensed premises was provided to all Authority members. Member Jeffers
asked if Pasquini's had responded to the letter. Bolte stated that no reply had been received to
date.

Deputy City Clerk Bolte also reminded Members that the local liquor training would be held at
Louisville City Hall Wednesday, April 26, 2000 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, April
30, 2000 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

ATTORNEY'S REPORT

A. Plaintiff's Opening Brief- L & G Liquors, Inc. v. City of Louisville

B. Defendant' s Answer Brief- L & G Liquors, Inc. v. City of Louisville

Authority Attorney Kathleen Kelly presented the Plaintiff' s Opening Brief and the Answer Brief
filed on behalf of the City of Louisville and Local Licensing Authority to the members.
Attorney Kelly informed the Authority that the Plaintiff has the opportunity to file a Reply Brief
with the Boulder County District Court no later than May 8, 2000. Authority members
commented that the Defendant' s Answer Brief was well written.

AUTHORITY COMMENTS

Jeffers asked when Spice China and Carrabba's are scheduled to open. Authority Secretary
Varra informed members that both are due to open in early June.

Authority Attorney Kelly commented that it was interesting to review fines and penalties
imposed by other jurisdictions as supplied with several renewal applications contained in the
Consent Agenda. The Authority concurred and briefly discussed that Louisville seems to be
somewhat lenient when imposing penalties and fines, as compared to some other jurisdictions.

Member Turner reviewed with the Authority, on behalf of absent Chairperson Myers, possible
dates for a social potluck. The dates proposed were Friday, June 9 or Saturday, June 10, 2000 or
Friday, June 23 or Saturday, June 24, 2000. A date will be decided at the May 8, 2000 meeting.

5
