Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: May 15, 2000 <br /> <br />Member Lipton agreed the matter had been going a while, but moved to approve :the transfer <br />of the Beer & Wine LiquOr License for Holly & Mike's Ribs, Inc., ~/a Hickory Sticks Smokehouse <br />& Grill located at 1000 S. Boulder Road. Evans seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Kimmett - <br />no, Lipton - yes, Turner - no, Evans - yes, Myers - no. By a vote of 2-3 the motion failed. <br /> <br />Member Turner moved to deny the transfer of the Beer & Wine Liquor License for Holly & Mike's <br />Ribs, Inc., d/b/a Hickory Sticks Smokehouse & Grill located at I000 S. Boulder Road. Chairperson <br />Myersseconded the motion. Roi1 Call Vote: Lipton - no, Kimmett- yes, Turner ~ yes, Evans - no, <br />Myers - yes. By a vote of 3-2 the motion passed. <br /> <br />Authority Attorney Kelly asked Deputy City Clerk Bolte to restate each motion and the respective <br />roll call votes for the record. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers stated that a letter detailing the findings of the Authority and subsequent <br />requirements by law, would be forwarded to Holly & Mike's Ribs, Inc. as soon as possible. Myers <br />also encouraged the applicant to file an application for a new liquor license at their earliest <br />convenience. <br /> <br />Authority Attorney Kelly requested the Authority Secretary advise Holly & Mike's Ribs of the <br />option of filing a concurrent review application that would speed up the application process. <br />Attorney Kelly further stated that if the Authority is so inclined, it may consider another special <br />meeting in order to establish the boundaries of the neighborhood and to set a public hearing date, and <br />that this would shorten the amount of time before the hearing on a new application. <br /> <br />Members concurred that if Holly & Mike' s Ribs, Inc. make the effort to quickly file for a new liquor <br />license, the Authority would consider setting a special meeting date. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked Attorney Kelly if the City portion of the new license application fees could <br />be waived by the Authority. Attorney Kelly stated that she would research whether the Authority has <br />that option. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY COMMENTS <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers called for any Authority comments. <br /> <br />None stated. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Member ~nunett motioned to adjourn seconded by Myers.
