Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:35pm by Allison Johanson. <br />Minutes taken by Melanie Dubin. <br />2. Roll Call: (Members present in bold): Seth Adams, Allison Johanson, Laura <br />Levesque -Catalano, Mark Persichetti, Melanie Dubin; Dan Mellis; Tiffany <br />Boyd; City Sustainability Coordinator Katie Baum; Councilwoman Debbie <br />Fahey. Members of the Public: Mark Ogle, Tamar Krantz, Kerrie Flickner, Doug <br />Grinberg, Sara Keane, Stephanie Rowe. <br />3. Approval of Agenda: Approved. <br />4. Approval of Minutes: Approved. <br />5. City -Staff Updates, Katie Baum: Katie reviewed all news and events <br />information provided in the meeting packet, with key highlights below. <br />a. Tuesday May 12 5:30-7pm: dinner, presentation, and dialogue with City <br />Council and LSAB. <br />b. April 7: first City Council review of Sustainability Action Plan. Feedback <br />will be incorporated for May resubmittal and ideally, approval. <br />c. Katie requested volunteers at the various city sustainability events and <br />indicated she'd send out an online sign-up sheet. <br />6. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br />a. Suggestion to implement artificial ice for the ice-skating rink. <br />b. Community members suggested that LSAB look into city building codes in <br />2020, due to the importance of buildings (existing and future) in achieving <br />community energy and broader sustainability goals. Current city building <br />codes do not meet US or international best practice for green building. <br />Many local real estate developments (for example Geos in Arvada) may <br />provide insight on what green building could look like in Louisville. <br />c. Adopt Vision Zero for dramatically reduce and eliminate pedestrian <br />injuries and create safety for all modes, all ages, all ability. <br />d.
