City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />February 25, 2020 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Members discussed the Commissions accomplishments last year including the sign <br />code amendments. They also discussed items from last year that required compromise <br />and discussion including marijuana changes, downtown development challenges, CTC <br />PUDs, the Transportation Master Plan. <br />Commission goals for next year include continuing the deep, technical look at <br />applications; support the Council in the planning process; Old Town Overlay lot <br />coverage review; LMC Chapter 17 updates; and PUD extension criteria. <br />Commissioners asked the Council how the commission can support the Council. Mayor <br />Stolzmann noted the Commission's review of applications and developing a review <br />record is a huge help to the Council. <br />Mayor Stolzmann noted the Council's main priorities this year including: 2021-22 <br />budget; economic vitality strategic plan, sustainability, airport noise mitigation; and <br />transportation master plan implementation. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney stated the Planning Commission process has big impact on <br />the Council discussion of applications and he encouraged them to continue in that work. <br />Other Councilmembers agreed. <br />Submitted by Meredyth Muth <br />February 26, 2020 <br />
