Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 16t", 2019 <br />Page 11 of 13 <br />Haley appreciated the presentation. <br />Dunlap asked if Mr. Johnson needed a building permit to replace windows. <br />Johnson replied that he did not. <br />Haley asked for the timeline for the work. <br />Johnson replied that they were planning to meet tomorrow and that the Commission <br />would likely see a landmark application for the January meeting. <br />ITEMS FROM STAFF <br />Alteration/Demolition Updates <br />Selvoski noted that there had been an approved window replacement and that there <br />had been no demolition reviews approved by the subcommittee. <br />Selvoski also noted that there were no applicants currently to fill the commission's <br />empty seats. They needed one who met the professional criteria. <br />Klemme asked if the applicants had to be residents of Louisville. <br />Selvoski replied that they did have to be residents but that the Commission had the Old <br />Town requirement satisfied. <br />Ulm asked if there could be another architect for the professional criteria. <br />Selvoski replied that there could be another architect. <br />Selvoski gave the Commission an update on the Saving Places Conference. <br />Dunlap asked about training the new members of the group. <br />Selvoski replied that the state rep would talk to everyone about preservation best <br />practices and the new commissioners would get onboarding from staff. <br />Dunlap asked if there were ideas about additional community outreach for affected <br />neighborhoods by demolition reviews. <br />Selvoski replied that there were usual multiple sit-downs with people who came in for <br />demolition reviews, but the set-up was the way the Commission had seen it tonight. <br />Dunlap suggested that the Commission take up the issue of the flow. <br />Selvoski noted that the flow that the Commission followed was in the Code. She <br />suggested that it could be on a work plan for an upcoming year. <br />12 <br />
