The "primary" runway, 12L-30R, is 9000 feet in length <br />and 100 feet wide. The "parallel" runway, 12R-30L is 7000 long and 75 feet wide. The <br />"crosswind" runway, 3-21, is 3,600 feet long and 75 feet wide. Runway designations are based <br />on their magnetic heading rounded to the nearest 10' with the last number dropped. A runway <br />oriented with a 300' compass heading is designated 30. A runway oriented with a 30' heading <br />would be designated as Runway 3. <br />A letter -designation is used when there are multiple runways with the same heading. For <br />example, if an aircraft is landing on Runway 30, they will fly a heading of 300 degrees and since <br />there are two parallel runways, the "R" is used to designate the runway on the right side.
