Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: July 31, 2000 <br />Page 5 -- <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked Deputy City Clerk Bolte how long it usually takes to receive reports <br />from CBI. Bolte stated the turn around time is usually one week plus mailing days. <br /> <br />Attorney Kelly commented that the Authority generally considers mitigating circumstances <br />when determining if an application is complete and that proceeding in this instance would not be <br />Unusual. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers moved the Authority find that, in accordance with its Rules of ProCedure, the <br />application submitted by The NoOdle ShoP Co., - Colorado, Inc. d/b/a Noodles '& Company is <br />complete for the purpose of proceeding to the heating on the application. Seconded by Turner. <br />Roll Call Vote: Jeffers - yes, Evans - yes, Myers - yes, Turner - yes. All members were in <br />favor, motion carded. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked if there were any member disclosures. None stated. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers stated that the Authority previously set the boundaries of the neighborhood <br />for the license as the current boundaries of the City of Louisville and asked if anyone present <br />objected. None stated. <br /> <br />Chairperson MYers stated that the Authority would proceed with the public hearing and moved <br />that the entire application as contained in the Authority packets be made a part of the record of <br />this hearing. Jeffers seconded the motion. All members were in favohmotion carded. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers aSked for the applicant presentation. <br /> <br />Mr. Weigand stated that Noodles & Company specializes in a quick serve menu featuring fresh, <br />made to order food. He continued that consumers are demanding higher quality food in a quick <br />serve fashion and the ability to have a glass of wine or beer with their meal. In keeping with the <br />higher quality food standards, Noodles & Company has incorporated alcoholic beverages as part <br />of their service, though the sale of these beverages is not the focus of their business. <br /> <br />Mr. Weigand continued that while the sale of beer and wine in their stores is not financially <br />significant, enforcement of state and local liquor laws is a priority and taken very seriously. <br /> <br />Mr. Weigand then introduced the Regional Manager, Mr. Gianmarco Macchiaroli to speak <br />further to employee liquor training and company policies. <br /> <br />The witness stated his name and address, Mr. Gianmarco Macchiaroli, 1900 Elm Street, Denver, <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />The Deputy City Clerk asked the witness to raise his right hand and proceeded with the oath. <br />"Do you solemnly swear or affirm under penalty of perjury that the testimony you are about to <br />give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." <br /> <br /> <br />
