Staff hoped to present the remaining <br />Open Space re -zoning projects to the Commission. Staff was also underway on the <br />Design Guidelines and PUD Criteria, which would be accompanied by revised PUD and <br />Waiver criteria. A review of the Old Town Overlay and Building Height would be <br />reviewed together in 2020, as well. That item could involve a work session for the <br />Commission and there would also be community comment. Ritchie listed several other <br />items under consideration for the 2020 work plan, including group home regulations and <br />a city -initiated rezoning process. She added that staff was working on the biennial <br />budget and requested recommendations for projects that would require consultant work <br />so staff could work those suggestions into the budget. <br />Zuccaro noted that in 2022 there would be a 10-year update to the Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />Rice asked if the update to the Comprehensive Plan was a significant undertaking. <br />Zuccaro replied that it was. <br />Williams asked if the Comprehensive Plan would be in the same year as the budget. <br />Zuccaro replied that the next biennial budget would include a recommended line for the <br />Comprehensive Plan process. <br />Williams asked why the City picked 2022. <br />Rice replied that the process was started in 2012 and adopted in 2013 and the Code <br />required an update every 10 years. <br />Moline asked if there were things in the 2013 Comp Plan that had not been attended to <br />already and should be included in the next iteration. <br />Ritchie replied that a lot of the policies and recommendations had been implemented, <br />but one thing that had not been implemented were the neighborhood planning efforts. <br />She thought that the City needed to revisit whether those efforts should remain in the <br />plan. <br />Zuccaro added that the City had decided not to do the neighborhood planning process <br />since a lot of the goals of those projects were better addressed in the Transportation <br />Master Plan (TMP). He invited the commissioners to offer their suggestions on the <br />neighborhood planning process and its usefulness. <br />Rice asked for the status of the sign code. <br />Cd <br />
