Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 11, 2016 <br />Page 3 of 29 <br />• Meets design requirements of the IDDSG <br />SIGNS <br />• No signs requested but future signage must comply with IDDSG <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />Staff recommends Planning Commission move to approve RUPES PUD: Resolution No. 19, <br />Series 2016. A resolution recommending approval of a final planned unit development (PUD) to <br />construct a 30,000 square foot industrial/ manufacturing building with associated site <br />improvements on Lots 11 & 12, Block 3, CTC Filing 1. <br />Commission Questions of Staff: <br />None. <br />Applicant Presentation: <br />Casey Adragna, Intergroup Architects, 2000 W. Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO <br />Rupes is an Italian company out of Milan, Italy. This is a 30,000 sf manufacturing office with <br />10,000 sf of office. They want to put an emphasis on design and not look like an empty box. It <br />was nice working with Rupes to try and create a pleasing atmosphere to the exterior and for <br />their employees. <br />Steve Hartel, Rupes USA, Director of Manufacturing <br />Italian manufacturer of small detail equipment such as car polishers, aircraft polishers, etc. They <br />were founded in 1947 and are privately held. They purchased Cyclo Toolmakers, Inc. in 2015 <br />which was a Colorado -based manufacturer of detail equipment founded in 1953. Now jointly, we <br />are manufacturing both types of polishers and plan doing it here in Louisville. <br />Commission Questions of Applicant: <br />None. <br />Public Comment: <br />None. <br />Summary and request by Staff and Applicant: <br />Staff recommends approval. <br />Closed Public Hearing and discussion by Commission: <br />Hsu says this is straightforward and there are no waivers other than deferred parking. The <br />building looks nice. Thank you for complying with all guidelines because it makes our job easier. <br />I am voting in favor. <br />Brauneis in favor. O'Connell in favor. <br />Rice says it makes it really easy when the applicant meets all of the design guidelines we have <br />created. There is no substantive waiver being sought. I want comment about the robust pace of <br />development in the CTC. I think it is fantastic. <br />Motion made by O'Connell to approve RUPES PUD: Resolution No. 19, Series 2016. A <br />resolution recommending approval of a final planned unit development (PUD) to construct a <br />30,000 square foot industrial/ manufacturing building with associated site improvements on Lots <br />11 & 12, Block 3, CTC Filing 1, seconded by Brauneis.
