Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />Moline stated that the way they had been conducting hearings seemed like it was working <br />Brauneis added that the new paper copy included in this month's commissioner reports was a <br />slight change from previous guides. <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br />Open Government and Ethics Pamphlet — 2018 Edition <br />Zuccaro recommended the commissioners read the new "Open Government and Ethics <br />Pamphlet," which commissioners receive each year. <br />Public Notice Posting Locations (Resolution No. 2018-02): City Hall, Library, <br />Recreation/Senior Center, Police Department/Municipal Court, City Web Site <br />Zuccaro stated that they post public notice at City Hall, the Library, the Recreation Center, <br />Police and Municipal Court buildings, and on the City of Louisville website. The Commission <br />was required to adopt a resolution of the locations for the new year acknowledging the posting <br />locations. <br />Hsu made a motion to approve Resolution No. 2, Series 2018 to adopt these official locations <br />for posting of notices for public meetings for all Louisville Planning Commission hearings. <br />Seconded by Hoefner. Voice vote. Approved unanimously. <br />2018 Meeting Dates <br />Zuccaro stated that staff had published the 2018 Planning Commission dates and asked if the <br />commissioners had any questions about the regular meetings, overflow, and study sessions. He <br />added that the Commission did not often use the overflow and study sessions. <br />Brauneis stated that in the past there had been an annual study session with City Council. <br />Zuccaro asked what the meetings were typically about. <br />Brauneis stated that Council led the meetings and shared their goals for the Commission. It has <br />been held in the library. <br />Zuccaro stated that he would see if the meeting could be reconstituted. <br />Hsu stated that there was a disconnect between the questions that were asked of applicants <br />about things like the Louisville Comprehensive Plan, but there were not many questions about <br />day-to-day applications of the kind that Planning usually dealt with. Meeting with the City <br />Council would help clarify the connection between long-term goals and the plans that come <br />before the Commission, since they made the questionnaire. <br />Brauneis asked staff to bring up the issue with Council. <br />Hoefner stated that he could not attend on April 12t", 2018. <br />Brauneis stated that typical practice was to give notice to staff. <br />Zuccaro stated that staff would send out an email before each meeting to determine if they have <br />a quorum. <br />Moline stated that overflow dates and study sessions had been uncommon recently. <br />ITEMS TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR THE REGULAR MEETING February 8, 2018 <br />
