When providing public comments, state your name and address.
5. Please address the Planning Commission with all testimony. Ask questions to the Chair.
Please do not address the applicant, staff, or members of the public.
6. Please address issues, not individuals.
7. Because there are so many people here tonight to speak, we ask that you keep your
comments to 3 minutes.
8. If someone has already stated something that you agree with, you do not have to restate
that comment. Instead, you can refer to what that person said and state any additional
comments.
Brauneis explained the general procedure for each item. Items start with a staff presentation
followed by an applicant presentation and a public comment period. After each section, the
Commission has the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters. The Chair then requests
staff and applicant closing statements. The Chair then closes the public comment period and
opens discussion among the commissioners. Commissioners generally do not discuss items
with staff after the closing of the public hearing unless they have clarifying questions. At the end
of discussion, the Commission entertains a motion, questions on that motion, and a vote.
Moline asked if the Commission could reopen public comment during discussion period.
Brauneis stated that public comment could be reopened, but it would be open to everyone,
including the general public, not just staff.
Terraces on Main (712 & 722 Main Street): A request for a Final PUD to allow for a 37,171
square foot commercial building with a 10,754 sf parking garage on 14,114 square feet
zoned CC; a Final plat to vacate the lot line between Lots 8 and 9, Block 3, Town of
