FIRST AMENDMENT TO A SERVICE ORDER BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND MARKLEY DESIGNS, LLC FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BASEMENT FINISH DESIGN THIS FIRST AMENDMENT is made and entered into effective as of the day of 2020, by and between the CITY OF LOUISVILLE, a Colorado municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner," and MARKLEY DESIGNS, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company, hereinafter referred to as the "Architect," with reference to that certain AIA Document B221-2018 Service Order dated December 17,. 2019, and hereinafter referred to as the "Original Service Order." WHEREAS, the City has engaged the Architect to design the basement remodel at the Police Department and Courts building; and WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has determined that certain changes to the original plans for the project are required, which changes include revised drawings to accommodate a reduction in the scope of work and additional mechanical analysis; and WHEREAS, the Architect will need to perform additional services to effectuate these changes; and WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the Original Service Order to compensate the Architect for the additional services. NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the parties agree as follows: 1. Section 2.1.2 of the Original Service Order is hereby amended to read as follows (words deleted are stf ke *t.,.e .t,; words added are underlined): § 2.1.2 Additional Services. None A. Architectural- Layout Programming and Schematic Design - Completed and Approved 6/4/2020 1. Review Owner's design requirements and communicate with client to determine detailed needs to generate a preliminary layout B. Deliverables a. Initial Design: Room layout b. Code Analysis c. Schematic Details as necessary d. Drawings showing_ locations for the following: 3.
