FIRST AMENDMENT TO A SERVICE ORDER BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE AND MARKLEY DESIGNS, LLC FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />BASEMENT FINISH DESIGN <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT is made and entered into effective as of the day of <br />2020, by and between the CITY OF LOUISVILLE, a Colorado municipal <br />corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner," and MARKLEY DESIGNS, LLC, a <br />Colorado limited liability company, hereinafter referred to as the "Architect," with reference to <br />that certain AIA Document B221-2018 Service Order dated December 17,. 2019, and hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Original Service Order." <br />WHEREAS, the City has engaged the Architect to design the basement remodel at the <br />Police Department and Courts building; and <br />WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has determined that certain <br />changes to the original plans for the project are required, which changes include revised drawings <br />to accommodate a reduction in the scope of work and additional mechanical analysis; and <br />WHEREAS, the Architect will need to perform additional services to effectuate these <br />changes; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the Original Service Order to compensate the <br />Architect for the additional services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. Section 2.1.2 of the Original Service Order is hereby amended to read as follows <br />(words deleted are stf ke *t.,.e .t,; words added are underlined): <br />§ 2.1.2 Additional Services. None <br />A. Architectural- Layout Programming and Schematic Design - Completed and <br />Approved 6/4/2020 <br />1. Review Owner's design requirements and communicate with client to determine <br />detailed needs to generate a preliminary layout <br />B. Design Development - 50% Construction Documents — Completed and provided <br />to Owner 6/ 11 /2020 <br />1. Architectural drawings demonstratiniz intended spatial room layouts and type of <br />construction <br />2. Deliverables <br />a. Initial Design: Room layout <br />b. Code Analysis <br />c. Schematic Details as necessary <br />d. Drawings showing_ locations for the following: <br />3. Major Mechanical and Electrical Equipment within the building envelope <br />KK <br />
