She continued that Tom Bock had been <br />able to run a check of the establishments on the consent agenda, and that there were no incidents to <br />report. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Lipton noted that the date for filing the last annual corporate report was missing from <br />the renewal applications for both Brass Monkey Wine & Spirits and Old Louisville Inn. Deputy City <br />Clerk Bolte stated that the licensees would be contacted for the appropriate information. <br /> <br />Member Kimmett moved that the Consent Agenda be approved contingent upon correction by the <br />applicants of noted deficiencies. Member Jeffers seconded the motion. All members were in favor, the <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY BUSINESS <br /> <br />mo <br /> <br />Show Cause Hearing - Holly & Mike's Ribs, Inc., clPo/a Hickory Sticks Smokehouse & <br />Grill - Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License - 1000 S. Boulder Road. <br /> <br />Special Prosecutor Steve Barnett addressed the members with a preliminary matter concerning a <br />conversation with the licensee's attorney, Kevin V. Moore. Attorney Barnett stated that Mr. Moore had <br />contacted him by phone that afternoon and requested a continuance of this heating. Mr. Moore stated <br />that he had assumed once payment of all owed sales tax was remitted to Colorado Department of <br />Revenue agent Douglas Kowalis, the Authority would vacate the matter. Additionally, Attorney Moore <br />stated that his schedule would not permit him to be present at the November 27, 2000 heating. Attorney <br />Barnett stated to the Authority that he did not agree to Attorney Moore's request for a continuance, <br />citing that notification of the public hearing had been served via certified mail to both the licensees and <br />Mr. Moore well within the time required by state law. <br /> <br />Licensee and partner of Hickory Sticks, Michael G. Davis addressed the members of the Authority and <br />asked that the hearing be continued as requested by their attorney, stating that he and co-owner Holly <br />Ortiz were not prepared or comfortable with legally representing themselves. <br /> <br /> <br />
