Louisville Local Licensing Authority
Meeting Date: December 18, 2000
Page 4

the applicant Byung U. Min.

Attorney Gottesfeld began his presentation by calling his first witness, Mr. Richard Hogue, 880 W.
Chestnut Circle, Louisville, Colorado, to testify to the needs and desires of the neighborhood.

Attorney Gottesfeld asked Mr. Hogue if he was familiar with Little Tokyo's and the surrounding
neighborhood. Mr. Hogue stated he was. Attorney Gottesfeld asked Mr. Hogue if he felt that a
restaurant of this type that was able to serve beer and wine was desirable to the area. Mr. Hogue stated
that he has patronized the Little Tokyo restaurant and that while he does not drink, he felt that having
beer and wine available would compliment the type of food being served namely sushi. Attorney
Gottesfeld asked Mr. Hogue if he had any other comments for the Authority. Mr. Hogue stated that
Little Tokyo has a nice atmosphere, that the restaurant is clean, the food is good and that he would like
to see Mr. Min succeed.

The next witness, Debra Ters stated her name and address as 877 W. Chestnut Circle, Louisville,
Colorado.

Attorney Gottesfeld asked Ms. Ters if she was familiar with the Little Tokyo restaurant and the
surrounding neighborhood. Ms. Ters stated that she has lived in the area for about seven years, that she
works in a building that shares the same parking lot with Little Tokyo and that they have the same
landlord.

Attorney Gottesfeld asked Ms. Ters if she felt that the granting of a beer and wine liquor license to Mr.
Min would enhance the food served in the restaurant and be of benefit to the surrounding neighborhood.
Ms. Ters stated that she eats lunch at Little Tokyo and that it is the only sushi restaurant in the area. She
continued that while she would not have an alcoholic beverage at lunchtime, other customers would
enjoy being able to have sake or beer with their food. She stated to the Authority 'that she would like to
see Little Tokyo succeed in the area.

Attorney Gottesfeld called his last witness, Mr. Martin Ters DDS, 877 W. Chestnut Circle, Louisville,
Colorado.

Mr. Ters stated that he has been in the area eight years, that he is a dentist and that his office is in the
same shopping plaza as Little Tokyo. Attorney Gottesfeld asked Mr. Ters how he was familiar with the
restaurant and whether he felt the surrounding neighborhood would benefit from a beer and wine license
being granted to Mr. Min. Mr. Ters stated that he eats at Little Tokyo often and that he was surprised
when he learned they did not have a liquor license. He continued that sake and sushi go hand in hand
and that he felt there would be an increase in clientele if Mr. Min were able to offer sake and beer. Mr.
Ters stated to the Authority that he felt it important that Mr. Min be granted this license so he can stay in
the area.

Attorney Gottesfeld called Byung U. Min, sole proprietor of Little Tokyo forward and asked him to state
his name and address for the record. Mr. Min stated his name and residence, 470 S. Victor Way,

Aurora, Colorado.

4
