Louisville Local Licensing Authority
Meeting Date: January 29, 2001
Page 9

D. Romero's Liquors - Fingerprint card for Rosela C. Romero

Deputy City Clerk Bolte asked the Authority for direction on the second set of fingerprint cards for Rosela
Romero, licensee of Romero's Liquors. Bolte stated that this is the second time the FBI has returned a set of
cards noting an insufficient swirl pattern in Mr. Romero's prints. Member Jeffers stated that both CBI and FBI
have performed checks on the name, address and social security number of Ms. Romero with no unfavorable
results. MemberJeffers stated his opinion not to have Ms. Romero reprinted for a third time. Member
Kimmett and Vice Chairperson Lipton concurred.

E. Holly & Mike's Ribs, Inc., d/b/a Hickory Sticks - Letter from Director of Finance

Bolte stated that this item had already been addressed under the Police Department report.

Fo

Coal Creek Golf Course, Inc., d/b/a Coal Creek Golf Course - Hotel & Restaurant w/Optional
Premises Liquor License.

Bolte stated that this item had been addressed under Authority Business.

Deputy City Clerk Bolte stated that a new member directory and list of the current licensees would be provided
at the next regularly scheduled meeting on February 26, 2001, noting that she wished to include the newly
appointed members and any new license holders in those listings.

Bolte also informed members that she is still holding the Beer and Wine liquor license application for Little
Tokyo. A signed copy of the finalized sub-lease agreement has not been received from the applicant, a condition
of Authority approval. Bolte stated that she has contacted Mr. Byung Min on a weekly basis concerning this
matter and that he understands his application can not be forwarded to the State for processing until the lease
document is received and reviewed by Authority Attorney Kelly.

Member Jeffers asked if the Police Department had been to the Little Tokyo establishment to make sure they
were not selling or serving alcoholic beverages prior to issuance of their liquor license. Sergeant Riggins stated
that he was fairly sure the premises had not been inspected due to personnel shortages.

Member Jeffers asked if the Police Department had checked on Taj Mahal III to ensure that they are not selling
or serving alcohol and that there are no alcoholic beverages on the premises. Sergeant Riggins stated that he was
not sure if an officer had checked on the establishment. Member Jeffers strongly suggested that the premises be
inspected for potential violations.

IX. AUTHORITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT

Authority Attorney Kelly thanked Deputy City Clerk Bolte for handling the request for continuance on
Bungalow Wine and Spirits. Kelly stated that she had recently been reviewed the City of Golden's Rules of
Procedure for their newly formed Local Licensing Authority. Attorney Kelly noted that Golden's Authority has
adopted into their rules a provision allowing the Authority Secretary to grant continuances, providing the
requests meet certain criteria. Kelly wondered if the Louisville Local Licensing Authority would be in favor of
revising their rules to reflect a similar procedure, or if the Authority is content with the process currently in
place.

\ \FRED\VARRAN\LIQUOR\2001 \MINUTES\MINUTES012901.DOC
