Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: February 26, 2001 <br />4 <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked how many employees work at Abo's Pizza. Beatriz Sanabria stated they have six <br />employees. Myers asked if all of the employees would be involved in the sale of beer and wine. Lizzette <br />Sanabria stated that she and her mother would handle most of the alcohol sales, as some of the employees are <br />under the age of twenty-one. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked if the employees who are of age to sell beer and wine would be attending liquor <br />training. Beatriz stated that they would all attend the liquor training. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Lipton asked if Beatriz or Lizzette would be present at the restaurant at all times. They both <br />responded that one of them would be at the restaurant at all times. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked if most of the revenue generated 5vould be from food sales as opposed to beer and <br />wine sales. Lizzette stated that the majority of their sales would be from food and not the sale of alcohol. <br /> <br />Member Jeffers asked the hours of business for Abo's Pizza. Lizzette Sanabria stated they are open from 11:00 <br />a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays. <br /> <br />Member Kimmett asked what they would do if someone came to the restaurant and tried to order a beer with a <br />fake ID. Lizzette Sanabria stated that she would refuse to sell beer or wine to the person, take the person's ID <br />and call for a Louisville Police officer. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked members of the Authority if they had any further questions of the applicants. None <br />heard. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked if there was any interested party in the audience who wished to speak in favor of the <br />application. Hearing none, Myers asked if there was any interested party in the audience that wished to speak in <br />opposition to the application. None heard. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked the applicants if they wished to make any closing comments. Ms. Lizzette Sanabria <br />stated they had no closing comments. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers closed the public hearing and called for member discussion and comments. Hearing none, <br />Myers called for a motion on the application. <br /> <br />Member I~mmett moved that the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find that the applicant is of <br />good moral character, that the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be granted, that the license will <br />meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, that all City and state law requirements have been met <br />and that, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve issuance of a beer and wine license for <br />Sanabria Enterprises, Inc., doing business as Abo's Pizza. Vice Chairperson Lipton seconded the morion. Roll <br />Call Vote: Jeffers - yes, Myers - yes, Lipton - yes, Koertje - yes, KSmmett - yes. All members were in favor, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Show Cause Hearing - Bungalow Wine & Liquors, Inc., d/b/a Bungalow Wine & Spirits - <br />Retail Liquor Store License - 645 S. Boulder Road. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers called the Show Cause Hearing to order and stated for the record that he is Bryan Myers, <br />Chairperson of the City of Louisville Local Licensing Authority.
